The upcoming DJI Mavic 4 had several features canceled before launch. There will be no Cine version and no Apple ProRes support initially. The camera setup stays similar to the Mavic 3 series — 28 mm wide (4/3″ CMOS), 70 mm medium, and 168 mm telephoto lenses. Electronic ND filters and the RC Track controller are also dropped.
The new RC Pro 2 controller introduces a 7-inch foldable Mini-LED screen that can rotate vertically, automatically switching the drone camera to portrait mode — ideal for social-media creators.
Promo boxes and images have surfaced in stores, hinting at an official release around May 13, 2025.
Estimated European prices:
- Mavic 4 Pro: €2,189
- Fly More Combo: €2,899
- Creator Combo (with RC Pro 2): €3,849
Overall: DJI is targeting prosumer creators, not high-end filmmakers, with strong content-creation features but fewer pro-video options.
