Idol Factory: Shaping Thailand’s GL and BL Entertainment Landscape

Idol Factory is a prominent Thai entertainment company founded in 2020, known for producing popular Girl's Love (GL) and Boys' Love (BL) series.

It gained widespread recognition for the hit series GAP: The Series, which became Thailand's first Girl's Love sensation with over 1 billion views on YouTube.

Idol Factory is regarded as one of the leading Thai BL production companies, although it produces fewer series annually due to a smaller talent pool compared to giants like GMMTV.

Recently, the company has been in the spotlight as Thai actresses Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong officially parted ways with Idol Factory, indicating some shifts within the company’s talent lineup.

Despite these changes, Idol Factory remains influential in the Thai entertainment industry, continuing to shape the GL and BL drama scene with its distinct and emotionally engaging productions that resonate deeply with audiences domestically and internationally
