The Bacolod Philippines Temple is a new temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, announced on October 5, 2019, by President Russell M. Nelson.
Here are some key facts about the temple:
Location: The temple is situated on a 12.3-acre site located on Bacolod Airport Access Road, north of Buri Road in Bacolod, Philippines.
Groundbreaking Ceremony: The groundbreaking ceremony was held on December 11, 2021, presided over by Elder Taniela B. Wakolo, a General Authority Seventy and president of the Philippines Area.
Current Status: Construction is ongoing, with the cupola installed, exterior cladding completed, and landscaping and interior work progressing.
The temple is estimated to be completed in early to mid 2026.
The Bacolod Philippines Temple will be the sixth temple built in the Philippines and the second built in the Visayas, following the Cebu City Philippines Temple.
Once completed, it will serve the local LDS community and provide a sacred space for worship and temple ordinances.
