A 26-year-old Belarusian model was killed inside a scam compound in Myanmar. According to authorities, the victim had traveled to Thailand to work as a model but later moved to Yangon, Myanmar. She was reportedly forced to work as an online scammer and was later sold to an organ trafficking group.   The electronic visa (e-visa) application for Chinese visitors to the Philippines will reopen in November. According to a statement from the Philippine Embassy in Beijing, Chinese applicants visiting the country for tourism or business purposes may apply for an e-visa if they will stay in the Philippines for no more than 14 days and if their point of entry is through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) or Mactan-Cebu International Airport. EDUARDO ERMITA, a former Defense Secretary, Executive Secretary, congressman, peace adviser, and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, passed away peacefully at his home in Batangas province on Saturday. He was 90. “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we, the Ermita family, announce the passing of our beloved father, General Eduardo Ramos Ermita (retired), a dedicated public servant and our guiding light,” Balayan Mayor Lisa Ermita-Abad, the late general’s daughter, said in a Facebook post. “Our father lived a full life in steadfast service to the Filipino people. As a soldier, he served with honor and dedication during some of the nation’s most challenging times,” she added.   The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition filed by Cassandra Li Ong against the committees of the Senate and the House of Representatives conducting investigations into alleged anomalies involving Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
